Step 1: Provide a CSR
Generating a Certificate Signing Request (CSR)
The first part of enrolling for your SSL Certificate is to generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR). CSR generation is wholly dependent on the software you use on your webserver.
General Points to remember before creating your CSR:
The Common Name field should be the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or the web address for which you plan to use your Certificate, e.g. the area of your site you wish customers to connect to using SSL. For example, an SSL Certificate issued for 2computerchicks.com will not be valid for secure.2computerchicks.com. If the web address to be used for SSL is secure.2computerchicks.com, ensure that the common name submitted in the CSR is secure.2computerchicks.com.
Our SSL Certificates are compatible with almost all popular webserver software. If you need help figuring out how to generate a CSR, please contact
info@2computerchicks.com with full details of your webserver software and we will contact you with further instructions.
You MUST generate a CSR before you can go to Step Two!!
NOTE: Please ensure that the Common Name (CN) in your CSR is ONE of the following:
--The Full Server Name of your internal server (e.g. "techserver")
--Your Private IP address (e.g. "192.168.0.1")
After you have generated a CSR using your server software copy and paste the CSR text into NOTEPAD and email it to us at:
Your CSR should look something like this:
-----BEGIN CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----
MIIDUDCCArkCAQAwdTEWMBQGA1UEAxMNdGVzdC50ZXN0LmNvbTESMBAGA1UECxMJ
TWFya2V0aW5nMREwDwYDVQQKEwhUZXN0IE9yZzESMBAGA1UEBxMJVGVzdCBDaXR5

-----END CERTIFICATE REQUEST-----

Testimonial - "Wow Holly, I just visited your website and am quite impressed with how you've grown... if I wasn't already your client I think I'd want to be! (Maybe that would be the best testimonial...!) Anyway, here goes:
I really like how easy you are to work with, and also appreciate your input and advice with technical issues. For those of us who are not computer geeks and/or geniuses, it's great to have a ready source for help and education on these issues, as well as for website design and functionality"..
